Adora CEO and founder Ann O’Neill

We’re delighted to announce that our latest investment is in Adora Health, co-founded by CEO Ann O’Neill and CTO Ed Smith. Adora is a women’s health platform with an initial focus on menopause. Using AI, Adora can provide end to end personalised education and support for a woman during her menopause from assessments, to symptom management and signposting to solutions including online gynaecological consultations.

Other participants in the round include a European healthtech specialist VC as well as other individuals angels. US-based Alumni Ventures also participated in the round, our first co-investment with them as part of our Super-Angel partnership.

This is the 48th female founded business Angel Academe investors have backed so far. Our deal team of 10 female angels was led by Laura Meyer and Lucy Rhodes. Laura said, “It was clear from the outset that Ann and Ed are driven and committed founders. Ann’s drive to help more women experiencing menopause symptoms is so vital — 3 out of 4 women experience symptoms, 1 in 4 serious ones, and menopausal women are now the fastest growing workforce demographic.” In her previous role, Laura co-founded and co-chaired the menopause in the workplace network.

Ann O’Neill from Adora said about Angel Academe, “You helped make an incredibly complex and challenging process so much easier… we are delighted that so many AA investors are on this journey with us.”

We all look forward to seeing Adora flourish!
